Karin Puffer is in her second year as the K-3 General Music Teacher for the Armstrong Elementary School. This is her ninth year of teaching and during that time, she has taught in various aspects of music at the elementary level across the state of Massachusetts. Most recently, she was teaching Pre-Kindergarten-Grade 6 General Music, 4-6 Band, 4-6 Strings/Orchestra and 5-6 Chorus at the Benjamin Banneker Charter Public School in Cambridge, MA.
Mrs. Puffer completed her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY and her Masters of Music Education from Boston University. As of 2015 ,she has completed her Certification in Orff Schulwerk.
Mrs. Puffer is very active in the music education community. She serves on the New England American Orff Schulwerk Association as Co-Editor of the chapter’s newsletter, The Broadsider. She serves on the Educator’s Advisory Council for the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She adjudicates Senior and Junior vocal districts for Western MA. She has presented workshops at MMEA and is published in the Massachusetts Music News.
